Occupational Health and Safety

Our Occupational Health & Safety Department provides support in all aspects of health and safety relating to field and administrative operations. We are committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of the public, the environment and all Page Construction Company employees, subcontractors and our suppliers.

Page Constructions’ core values are the health and safety of our employees and the public. Our culture is to recognize that health and safety is our primary concern and a condition of employment for all employees. To support this, we have established a robust Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHS&S) that provides management and employees with the structures and programs necessary to fulfill our core value of providing a safe and healthy workplace.

The program’s attributes include:

  • Since 2013, Page Construction has received a Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA).
  • Page Construction is externally audited annually by the IHSA.
  • Awarded numerous safety awards
  • Designed and modeled on OH&S 18001 guidelines.

Safety Culture

Page Construction is committed to providing a workplace culture based on safe work practices. Our management supports this concept and is committed to ensuring the safety of all employees. Safety values extend to all company employees and promote a shared awareness of safety in all operations.

The goal of the safety culture program is to achieve safety excellence with the participation of all employees. At Page Construction, safety is a condition of employment. Safety culture is based on behaviors that are beliefs, assumptions and standards, also known as “unwritten rules.” The safety culture program empowers front line workers to discuss problems, brainstorm and work collectively to reduce the risk of injury for all.
